Our story began in August 2018, when we unexpectedly crossed paths at one of Jess’s old stomping grounds, the Rose and Crown. We had briefly worked together the year before, but Travis had mysteriously disappeared to begin his Master’s program. On this particular night, an unplanned outing to play pool (at a bar rarely frequented by Travis and very well known to Jess) brought us into the same place once again. What started as a casual evening quickly turned into a meaningful connection, sparked by a shared love of adventure and curiosity about the world.

Just a few months later, that connection led us deep into Algonquin Park on a canoe trip, followed soon after by an unforgettable journey to Guatemala, our first international adventure together. That trip ignited a passion for exploring the world side by side, one that has carried us everywhere from Mexico to Estonia, Japan to the United Kingdom, and Costa Rica to British Columbia. With each new destination, our desire to see more, do more and experience it all together only grew stronger.

Since then, our lives have grown in all the best ways. We adopted Atlas, a quirky, lovable goofball of a dog who keeps us laughing and on our toes, and after many moves around Toronto and Ottawa, we finally bought a place in Gatineau, QC.

In 2023, Travis ‘proposed’ in one of our favourite places in the world: Oaxaca, Mexico. The moment came after an afternoon spent at a mezcal distillery, surrounded by locals, friendly dogs and more mezcal shots than we can confidently count, shared with the incredible owners who made the day unforgettable.

It may have taken us a few years to make it to a proper wedding, but we’re finally here and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this moment with all of you.

Thank you for the love, friendship, and support you’ve shown us over the past eight years. We’re so grateful to share this night with you, filled with great food, dancing, and drinks—one we hope you’ll never forget (or, with any luck, might remember just a little bit fuzzily).
